I received a phone call one day, from a fellow name Sal, who was on a hunt for a cinematographer. He was looking for something unique and out of the norm. His search began within the vicinities of New Jersey and New York with no luck. He and his fiance expressed their interest in my work and asked if I could come up to New Jersey to film their wedding. Are you kidding me? Film a wedding in New Jersey AND New York…I couldn’t wait to pack my bags!
Once we got there, we immediately felt at home. Not only were they hospitable, they were some of the most down-to-earth New Yorkers I’ve met. They gave me and my crew “full creative reign” over their wedding (singing ALLELUIA!!!). From concept to completion, it was all up to us. I wanted to jump for joy. There’s nothing more wonderful than giving a cinematographer full control of scope and creativity.
If you ever need advice on throwing a party, call on Sal and Carmela. Their wedding reception was more than a party, it literally felt like a club. The DJ really knew how to rock it. When the bride and groom were introduced, everybody ran to the dance floor and rocked out for a good hour and a half. Usually guests can’t wait until the wedding party’s introduced so the feast can begin. Forget about eating, lets just dance the night away!!
Carmela and Sal did not skimp out on details. From the venue to the flowers, the cakes, and the photographer Cory Callahan, everything about the wedding was exquisite! Big thanks to Cory for referring us to a very unique and unforgetable wedding.
